Cassie Hansen Tall Sculpture
Cassie's latest ceramic iterations come in the form of compelling abstract red mid-fire sculptures. In a warm terracotta colour they have a textural richness and continue Cassie's exploration of additions and subtractions on architectural forms.
- Handcrafted in Kyneton, Australia by Cassie Hansen
- Unique gift
- One of a kind ceramics
- Dimensions: H 21cm x W 11cm
Material: Red mid-fire ceramic, unglazed. This form has a rich darker terracotta patina than the other forms - a result of kiln heat and a tribute to it's hand crafted nature, it is not considered a fault.
Please note: There is no closed base to this sculpture so it is not appropriate to use as a vase for freshly cut flowers, but it will hold dried arrangements.

Cassie Hansen is a well respected Kyneton based ceramicist and editor of the design magazine Artichoke. Since 2016, she has created mid fire and stoneware ceramic forms that utilise both wheel thrown and hand built elements.
Hansen describes her work as inspired by her "interest with the simplified forms and linear qualities of various architecture periods and movements, as well as the shadows and compositions captured in architectural photography."
In 2018 she spent a year learning from renowned ceramicists Neville French and Kate Jones at Shane Kent’s Melbourne-based ceramics school, the School of Clay and Art (SOCA). Hansen has exhibited her work nationally and in 2020 was a finalist in The Design Files’ Design Awards, in the Emerging Designer category.
