This hand carved walnut wood plate by OpusLab is made in Sydney from solid dark walnut. Shaped to resemble a lotus leaf, the plate highlights traditional woodworking techniques and natural timber grain.

Suitable for serving dry foods or as decorative wooden tableware. Each piece is individually carved and finished with food-safe oil.

How to care for your wood product

For wooden table and kitchen ware. Hand wash only. Do not leave in water for an extended period of time. Wood will need re-oiling periodically. Any food safe finish will work. Household oils such as grapeseed or walnut oil also work. Avoid Olive oil. The surface is oiled for protection.

Over time the wood may become "furry". To fix this simply sand back with 240 grit sandpaper and then re-oil.
