Rooted in the long history of domestic utility textiles, the Vadoek tea towel revisits the traditional cotton kitchen cloth through contemporary weaving and colour. Its soft handle and absorbent structure make it suited to everyday drying, lining baskets, or use as a lightweight kitchen cloth.

The palette introduces vibrancy without excess, allowing the towel to sit naturally within both modern and traditional Australian kitchens. Designed for repeated laundering and daily use, it reflects a practical approach to textile design where longevity and function are paramount.

Pursuant to their sustainability objectives, in 2020 Mungo underwent an audit for Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification. They are now South Africa’s first GOTS-certified textile weaving mill.
